Biography
N E C R O S Dishonest • Cowardly • Sweet-talker Quote:
Uh-oh, looks like this casanova wandered a little too far from his home lair (sugarflute, 536779), and now he's off to see the world! If you ever feel the urge to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off to See the World' thread. If you don't want another traveler in return, you can also drop him off at the Traveling Dragon Rest Hub!
sugarflute: Necros may not have been born into the Mighty Lair on the Zephyr Steppes, but he certainly grew up there. Raised by everyone in the clan, he grew up quite happy and proud. But he grew up with dreams of the outside world. One day, out on an insect-catching mission with his close friend Hurricane, he snuck off. |
MordareMarkie: He hadn't known she'd had a mate, but now he had to bear the consequences. However, luck was with him; they happened upon a lair filled with Fire Faes. Necros decided to leave his son with them; he'd be too young to really remember him anyways. He only cast one look behind him as he took flight. He wanted to leave his past in the past. Have it not haunt him.
cwimsqn: It didn't. But shadows never quite fade away. He was ambushed by Beastclans in the Tangled Wood and left to die in the Foxfire Bramble. But another traveling dragon found him on the edge of the Kingdom's foggy borders and brought him to their physician, Eon.
The Fae did not stay long after his wounds healed. But before he departed, Eon shared with him one of the Kingdom's most well-known sayings: Shadows never leave. The abandonment of his son, whether Necros thought of it anymore or not, would remain a shadow in his story.
sgkat: Necros brushed off Eon's warning and came to the Sunbeam Lanternhouse fully intending to indulge in their hospitality. He flitted from the artists' commune, where he doled out extravagant compliments, to the Meadow, where he lazed about doing nothing. It was wonderful to be waited on, and he would have continued on in bliss if he had not encountered Jael.
Unlike in his encounter with Cynfaen, he knew immediately that her honeyed words were poisoned - she didn't try to hide her contempt of him, and yet... engaging in verbal sparring with her brought him a kind of thrill. She was dangerous, and he didn't care. She was scheming something, and he didn't care. He was making a mistake, shadows never leave. He didn't care.
When they had a nest, it seemed that all at once she tired of their game. She abandoned him and their hatchlings. He had no fathering instinct - he'd proven that with Alkener - so he moved on.
NecroticroseQT: Necros arrived next into a place with a name similar to his own. The Necropolis. After several encounters with unfortunate mates and their unfortunate fates, he hoped that maybe, he could find some place to rest. Necros recieved a warm welcome by The Necropolis' Priestess. She gave him a well deserved honored stay, at least, in his own eyes. Necros rested at The Necropolis.
Necros was one of few visitors to ever encounter The Necropolis' true clan leader, Necropolis themself. A seemingly young demonic mirror hatchling. The clan leader made good friends with Necros. The two of them talked quite a bit about eachother. Necros vented his frustrations with previous mates, and the struggles of losing his kids each time. As much as Necros may not have seemed like it, he really did care about his children. Necropolis comforted him and encouraged him that he just... hadn't found the right one yet. Necros felt determined by Necropolis' words and left The Necropolis, his heart flared with encouragement to continue seeking someone who would change his life for the better.
