Biography

Brightsun's claws began to glow with a faint light. The pale yellow shine illuminated her features, lighting up her gray skin. Her spell swirled around her, defying gravity. She forced it upon the dragon in the arena, the one Wispwarden was about to destroy. His screams multiplied, the volume so loud it almost caused her pain. This was what she always did. Practicing her fear spell on arena victims had become a habit now. As the prey's screams faded away, so did a bit of her joy. "Well, at least the spell is improving." she thought to herself. As she flew down to join Wispwarden and Tambora, she immersed herself in ideas for how to enhance her spells. At least, until she saw the coldness in Wispwarden's eyes. As she listened to her friend rave about how the crowd thought Crimson was better, she considered ways to solve Wipswarden's problem. "Well... maybe we should see if that's true." Tambora said, "And rid the clan of those leeches." Brightsun nodded in agreement, the plan beginning to take shape.

From what Tambora told her, it didn't go very well. Wispwarden had killed the third spy this week and was so furious she was about to blow. They had to think of a better plan fast. "Well, since it's been the same message over and over again, maybe we should take action," Brightsun stated. "Yes, but what would we do? Kill the entire clan?" Tambora replied. "They're not all loyal to Crimson..." Brightsun whispered. "Yes, but how do we know who is?" Tambora answered. The discussion continued until they found their answer. They would simply ask.

Brightsun stood offstage, trying to remember how the spell went. "Shine bright light, so out of sight... Yes, that's it." Wispwarden was almost finished speaking. The dragons had stepped forward. Brightsun trembled with excitement. "Till death do you part!" Wispwarden yelled. The light from Brightsun's glowing claws grew brighter and brighter. It got to be so bright she could no longer see. All that was ahead of her was a field of yellow. Then, the light stopped as soon as it started, and she stumbled, feeling weak. When she looked into the crowd, there were gaps where dragons had been. Piles of ash pooled on the floor. This was what she had done. This destruction was created by her. The deaths of so many. She did this. Her mother would be proud.
