They say he’s a bit narcissistic. He disagrees - - - they’re just boring. He talks about himself all the time because he’s interesting - - - there’s so much about himself that he wants to share with them, so many great tales and so many genius ideas. They, on the other hand, have nothing interesting to say about themselves - - - and so why bother listening to them talk when all they have to say are boring things?

But that’s alright, he supposes. They can call him whatever they want because - - - at the end of the day, they still sit at his table and accept his hospitality and listen to his stories and eat the food that he provides. And he - - - the eternally benevolent, humble host that he is - - - asks no payment for his hospitality, his time, or his tales.

Oh goodness, no, he’d never lower himself to asking for payment in return for his services. Not monetary payment, at least…

They can call him whatever they want - - - narcissistic, monster, fanged-beast - - - because, at the end of the day, they still sit at his table and accept his hospitality and listen to his stories and eat the food that he provides. And afterwards, they generously donate a bit of the only thing that makes them unique in return for his time.

A little donation is really all he asks for. A little blood to wet his fangs - - - and, really, they should consider it an honor that he’s willing to accept their donation at all.

He has standards, after all.
