12/23/14 - WC to Nocturne

Ginger was originally Orchid's chief bodyguard back in their old clan, and in this one, she was quickly appointed to be the head warrior. As a fearsome Wild Claw, she was able to tear through opponents easily. She became one of the most respected dragons in the den.

Her best friends were Taja, a Fae, and Aster, a fellow Wild Claw. Aster had a crush on Ginger, which took her a while to realize. When she did, however, she was embarrassed, as she didn't return his feelings. She ignored his advances, and the two were able to maintain a platonic relationship.

However, once his first hatchlings were immediately exalted, Aster met his breaking point. With no mate, familiar, or kin that he could contact, he asked Statice to be exalted. When Ginger found out, she was devastated. Despite what Taja tried to tell her, she knew that it was her fault.

At this time, Nocturnes were having their rare breeding period. They scattered chests, full of loot- including eggs they couldn't take care of. Ginger, Adon, and Orchid constantly battled Ectoplasimes, Snarling Mimics, and Jawlockers, who guarded the chests, for the chance for the clan to have a Nocturne of their own. This took her mind off Aster, so she would have her squad battle for hours at a time, despite Orchid and Adon's protests.

While they were supposed to keep found chests sealed, for Amaryllis to open, Ginger felt more and more tempted with every chest they found. Eventually, she couldn't help herself, and opened one. Inside, there was a Nocturne breed change scroll, that was in the process of activating- something she realized to late. There was flash of brilliant light, she felt a flash of the strongest pain she had ever felt in her life, and fell unconscious.

When she woke, she saw Adon and Orchid peering worriedly down at her. They were much larger than what she remembered, leading to a temporary confusion. Then, her memories of what had happened before she woke flooded back to her, and she hurried to the closest lake in site with a panic. To her horror, she had really turned into a Nocturne.

Adjusting to her new body since her transformation has not been easy. Ginger transformed from being one of the biggest dragons in the clan to the absolute smallest. Her ways of battle, hunting, eating, and even sleeping have been altered. Many dragons look upon her with pity, rather than the respect they once gave her, and she had to step down from being the head warrior, as she still needs to relearn most of her fighting moves. While Taja has tried to cheer her up, she has mostly failed. Ginger doubts she will ever get her life back in order.
