In the barren deserts of The Shifting Expanse, there resides a species of Veilspun dragons that are often covered in thorns and possess shiny scales and vibrant wing patterns, they are called Canyon Marauders. These dragons are often identified by looking at the colour of the sand around the barrens, since they take after the colours of some of the cacti and make the sand of the environment seem more colourful than it actually is. Travelers find out, unfortunately, once the swarm of these dragons are already after them.
