Vista || Grand Matriarch
An imposing presence. She's more like a political figurehead than an acting ruler, letting the management and upkeep of her people fall upon her trusted council.
Her role is to be the representative, and her name: a warning.
Despite that, it does fall under her interests to create a flourishing community, and self-sufficient small kingdom. Massive territory and fame are none of her concerns, as much as legacy and prosperity are. It almost sounds silly when Firefly Keep is but a village, a small town at best. But everyone had to start somewhere.
Vista herself focuses on her military resources and political stance of independence. Any bold moves to contest her territory will inevitably mean war. And although a battlefield tyrant - her ability to uphold diplomatic, political talks isn't null.
Threats on even the most recent of residents are taken very personally by the matriarch, and consequences are severe. If your mind jumped to 'most insignificant resident', then congratulations! You would of already picked a fight with the matriarch. In her vision, no one is accepted into her kingdom with the purpose of being insignificant - even if objectively they don't contribute much.
Them simply being there is enough for her.
This makes her a very beloved leader, and the loyalty her subjects hold for her isn't one sided. Although her personality makes her appear distant, she treats everyone as equals and sees class hierarchy as a pointless waste of time. If you want to gain her favor, you best show accomplishments worthy of her attention.
Truth be told it's the fact that she's awkward and socially inept that she struggles connecting with her peers. During the Keeps' early days, she didn't withdraw from her naturally intense personality, oft causing dragons to quit because they just couldn't handle her. Vista is very bold and hot-headed; she is quick to raise her voice even if she's not angry. Coupled with the fact she dislikes small-talk and has no hobbies nor interests outside of combat and kingdom development; maintaining casual, regular conversations is by far her greatest challenge.
