Biography

The Guardian of Horxe'Len and The Observer of Beyond.
a7PN2kC.png
No one shall pass by continuum unnoticed when he's on guard, the thing is, he's always watching. Yet it is to be discovered, what caused him to decide upon this task, which many would call either boring or too hard. After all, once you gain the title of Observer, you cannot back off from it. Dragons affected by the Vortex or fragments of Beyond are said to be cursed and taken away from all living matter, which means they can't go back to their normal lives and are made into living as either an Observer, Knight, or a rotting corpse. Most dragons and other living creatures aware of the Vortex are doing their best to never come in touch or even see one. Yet Hemlock, in full awareness, entered the Vortex, which took him right in front of feet of Gurh'relin, the King of Horxe'Len, a unique place inside of the Beyond.

The King of the mysterious world was fascinated with Hemlock's view on life and decided upon their small talk, that he would be a great Guardian of his kingdom. Although, being a guardian meant that Hemlock wouldn't be actually able to exist, as his new home would be the Vortex itself. Living inside the place where no matter exists, he would be nothing more but his consciousness, which would constantly change its form inside of the never-ending process of Beyond trying to infect other worlds. Gurh'relin wanted to make things a little easier for his new subordinate, so he allowed Hemlock to manifest his physical form and get outside the Vortex in 2 cases. First would be any dragon or creature trying to enter the Beyond - it was up to him if he would drive them away, told them to go away, or just simply killed them - it didn't matter, as long as no one passed the Vortex. This, of course, worked in both ways, and no one could leave the Beyond. The second case in which he could manifest his body was when he would feel the call of Beyond, which would mean that somewhere a new Rouv'skin was born, in which case he had to manifest and report as fast as it was possible. After all, Rouv'skin was a race of creatures made either of dragon's corpses or other bigger and similar creatures mixed with the always-changing energy of Beyond, which could and in most cases did, modified the bone structure of one's life, its genes, and also fulfilled such creature with nothing else but rage and regrets of souls that died because of Vortex.

One would say, that it doesn't sound like much, and probably most dragons hearing it for the first time would call it simply a fairy tale. Sadly, the danger it proposed for both Beyond and other worlds was immeasurable and the position that Hemlock was taking care of was of the utmost importance. Although so far, there was never an issue that he couldn't solve. His life ended long before he entered the Vortex and said farewell for his own future, so devoting his life to the protection of millions of other lives was not only easy for him but also made him feel important and every second he lived felt rewarded.

Sadly as one could expect from someone existing in a place that barely existed, Hemlock's consciousness was getting often twisted and destroyed, so with time, things like needs, emotions, or memory became nothing but unnecessary parts of life for him. With time, all those started fading away, making him more of a lifeless soul, than a living creature, yet that made him an even better Guardia and Observer. Even tho most of the dragons would call his life to be wasted, thanks to him so many worlds still exist and both outside and inside Beyond can be called a safe space. Shall he one day disappear - the world surely will meet its end.
