Biography
Toras, though a lone Veilspun, has found a swarm in other places. Having set up a cottage for herself out in a small town in the wetlands, she quickly made herself at home and became well known to the locals. Despite her small size she had always wanted to strike out on her own and try to make it as a farmer. So she did, using her nature magic to farm, she sells part of her crop in the local market to maintain her home. Toras was perfectly content going through life farming her plants and growing flowers, until one evening while on a hike out into the wetlands, she found a nest. Now something tragic had clearly happened here as the nest was trashed. The ground was cold, no dragon had been here for hours, maybe days, and only one lone egg was still intact in a shower of broken shells. Toras hesitated as she glanced over the object, trying to tell herself that maybe someone would be back for it after all. But something told her deep down to the contrary, so with a sigh, she heaved the thing back to town. Toras would take care of the egg until it hatched, no more, no less.
Then it hatched, and the peach and abyss colored little nocturne looked up at her with those big green eyes… and she just couldn’t find it in herself to shuffle the little bugger off into other claws. Toras had gotten attached.

It wasn’t even half a year later that she found yet another abandoned egg out in the brush. This time she was going to immediately give the egg to someone else she was sure of it- but of course the minute she’d gotten it home to just make sure it was warm enough to survive another trip out, the little nocturne that was now living with her, Pumpkin, got so possessive over the egg she couldn’t get it back out the door again. So now she had two Nocturnes busying about the place. All things considered, Toras didn’t mind, it had been a bit lonely living by herself, and the two new additions weren’t much fuss. Neither ever seemed to get bigger than a hatchling, and they bustled about playing in the garden and going out to the bog behind the farm.
Toras gained a reputation from this, it was known she’d go out into the wilds every once and a while, and take care to watch for any abandoned eggs. Eventually the Veilspun started finding eggs on her doorstep- dragons who had unplanned nests dropping them at her home, knowing that Toras would look after them. Sure enough no matter how many turned up, as stubborn and bullheaded as she was she would insist on looking after the eggs and raising the hatchlings up- even having additional buildings built on her property and additions made to the cottage.

Nowadays Toras continues to busy herself with her farming, the farm expanding with the amount of claws around the homestead more than doubled, even as some of the little ones she’s taken in grow into other professions and their own homes. It’s not unusual around holidays to catch multitudes of dragons of all shapes and sizes going to the property to visit their Momma Toras.
