______ Late in the day he had heard the bellowing roar from the small dragon. his head poked up from under the crystal water of the lake to see this fabled new arrival. with a sudden wide eyed look Milap quickly dipped back under the water. the sword had gleamed like it was true metal forged by magic, and with the shadows of the water he hid the best he could from what he saw as a threat.

______ Milap could hear the iridescent dragon release the blade back to the holder at there flank. he used the gleam of the water and the film of shadow along his eyes to see the reflection of the dragon with sharpened clarity. She stood above the water on her hind legs and it looked like her legs had adapted to it. she looked down into the water and cocked her head to the side. "i can see you you know" Now Milap knew it was a female, and that she had seen him somehow.

______So as the sun set and the stars sparkled to life, Milap slowly warms up to this sparkling new addition to his homeland. he explained to this dragon that the whole of this isle is held up higher because of a strange intake of arcane magic. the water flows with it and so do the plants and earth beneath them. the animals and prey are filled to the brim with enhancements while the familiars are smarter and more attuned to the sight of dragons. Violeta, as her name was, cocked her head to the side yet again and watched with sparkling eyes as more of my kin reach from the waters and from the plants all around us.

______ Months went by and slowly we filled with more and more dragons that Violeta had attracted. our familiars are as happy as ever seeing more unique dragons and more like them slowly sprouted to the island. now that we had more of a view on things, we had to try and settle disputes and take on more important roles.

______ So now i watch the ones who truly don't want to be here. despite the magic and the amazement of our home, they want to try something different. I help guide them to the place they want to go, allowing someone from another clan to reach the edge of the island and guide these kin to a new place to stay.

______ Late in the day, yet again, i think of something as i sit in the water of the lake. i look up to the moon above me and sigh into the water that still remains as clear as anything. Who is this arcanist, the other idols of the lands, and why are they so important? we have lived here forever and have stayed ignorant to all of the deities of the land. I just don't get how one might want to fight under something so god like, and throw all of there possibilities away. but i know now, if one of the dragons that grow from the seeds of our flowers wants to do just that, i shall make sure they are the best.
