Hoya is a proud individual who was never built to be a follower. She follows herself and isn't afraid to speak up about anything she has a problem with.
However her brother hated that she wouldn't give in to his wishes and decided she needed to be dealt with. She was cursed by her brother to become a creeping tendril. While grateful he didn't just outright kill her she harbors a bitter resentment for him and also has extended her hate to her sister for standing by and letting this happen to her. It appears her brother felt a sibling relationship with her and allows her to remain silent at his side. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Hoya decided to act on this bitterness she held by being a nuisance and trying to get her sister to grow a spine. Her brother in return humors her because shes just a plant.
