As a young dragon, Elm gained a thorough appreciation for plants under the careful tutelage of her mother Nymphadora. By the time she could fly, Elm could name every species of flora that lived in her forest home. Propelled by her endless curiosity and caring nature, Elm quickly learned to appreciate plants for more than just their aesthetic beauty, and began studying how certain species could be used in the art of healing. Although her birthclan had no healer to guide her in her studies, the tenacious Veilspun didn’t let that deter her. Before long, she had assumed the unofficial role of healer in her clan and had treated all of her fellow Veilspuns more times than she could count.

While she loved and appreciated her homeland, as she aged, Elm grew restless. Unlike her mother, the spirited Veilspun thrived off the company of other dragons and longed to know what lay beyond the forest’s borders. Her constant thirst for knowledge would never be sated until she had honed her craft to perfection, and she longed for the chance to study under a true healer, someone that could teach her far more than she could ever learn on her own. The rest of her clanmates might be content to hide from the world, but Elm was different. She was born to stand out.
