Opportunistic, clever, ravenous

The Empyreal clan is home to many insect eaters, and they constantly have agents hunting for more. Unlike most prey of interest to dragons, insects tend to be small in size, and great numbers of them must be gathered to feed everyone.

To alleviate the shortage, Luxe proposed raising insects for consumption by holding them in containers made of clay and glass. Raphael volunteered for the job and embarked on a joint project with the clan entomologist. Their objective: find hardy species with soft and succulent larval forms.

It didn't take them long to round up suitable candidates and study them in enclosures. By trial and error (and taste testing) they finalized the perfect "livestock" to raise.

The bulk of insects are still brought in by hunters, but now there is a local, controlled source of insects all year round. He can be seen tending to them in the daytime, adding in food and monitoring their progress, and he sometimes sneaks one out as a snack.
