Tianlong was a dragon ascended from the Heavens.
By her side, she had her fox spirits.
A celestial being she was.

Tianlong had traveled far, she had left her home to seek out her long lost love, Shenlong. He was known as the dragon of storms.
She followed the scent of rain, chasing after storms in hope that she would find him within them.
"Shenlong," she cried out, drenched in the rain.
With no answer, she sighed and went back to her palace where she resided.
Her fox spirits curled up next to her as she warmed herself by the kang bed-stove.
Tears rolled down her face as she imagined Shenlong by her side.
"When will I see you again, my love?" she whispered.

As she slept, she had a dream.
Tianlong was in a black room with a flickering red candle in the center. She walked over to the candle, and as she did, the flame was extinguished. She let out a gasp as the surroundings changed to that of a forest clearing.
The grass was green and fresh with dew and colorful flowers were scattered across the clearing. She saw a silhouette of a Veilsprun across from her. "Shenlong?" she spoke, her own voice echoing.
"Why did you leave me?" a voice whispered in her ears.
She gasped and glanced around herself. She saw four shadows approaching her.
"Who are you?!" she shouted.
"WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?" the voice said, but louder this time. The voice was booming.
Shenlong screamed, covering her ears.
"Leave me be!" she shouted, closing her eyes.
As it became quiet, Shenlong glanced around, seeing that she was in different area again.
She was back in her palace in her chamber, but her fox spirits were no where to be seen.
"Hello?" she said, walking towards the door. She noticed as she walked, there was the sound of leaves crunching beneath her feet, but no leaves in sight.
There was a white glow outside the door, as she approached it. She saw that it was a mirror, decorated with jade and gold.
As she gazed in the mirror, she saw not her own reflection, but Shenlong injured and trapped underneath rubble.
"Shenlong!" she shouted as she woke from the dream.
Her fox spirits woke up and whimpered with worry.
"I must find Shenlong soon!" she said, gathering her traveling satchel. "He is in great danger," she said, placing her paw on her chest.

It was still dark out and a storm was brewing. Tianlong took a deep breath and walked across the palace grounds and to the gate.
She took one last glance back at her palace before she left. She didn't know when she'd be back or if she would ever return. "Goodbye," she spoke with somberness.
As she stepped out onto the wet terrain, she felt a sting of pain in her heart.
"Shenlong," she hissed. She knew that the pain must have been what he was feeling. She had to be quick and find him before he could not be saved. The fox spirits hopped onto her back as she stretched out her wings and took flight. She flew over the vast landscape, scanning the area for any sight of Shenlong.
In her dream, he looked to be somewhere in the Carrion Canyon. Which, while wasn't far from where Tianlong's palace was, it was a vast wasteland and lightning could strike whenever.
She would have to continue on foot once she reached the Shifting Expanse.

As she landed on the desert land, she quickly searched the Canyon for any signs of Shenlong. She asked the few dragons she saw on her way. She was a mess, her mane had sand and rocks entangled within it. Her fox spirits trotted to stay by her side, but they whimpered with concern. As Tianlong continued through the canyons, an endless storm seemed to crackle above. She hadn't much time left before the storm reached the canyons.
"Have you seen another Veilsprun?" she asked a Ridgeback.
"Sorry, no," the Ridgeback said, continuing on their way.
Tianlong sighed and collapsed on the ground.
"There's no hope..." she moaned, covering her eyes with her paws.
Her fox spirits whimpered as they tried to comfort her. Her eyes were wet with tears, she felt a deep hopelessness.

poem wrote:
Romance is tough, is it not?
Setting a barrier between heart;
Of all was lost, there was hope,
Then soon a storm sets to fire.

Celestial, divine,
So determined with adrenaline;
And what comes to mind,
Is the gust of fate.

Raindrops splatter,
Making a gush;
Spring for joy,
In such a rush.

All in the name of love.

The foxes yelp with care,
And her heart goes to bare;
As she’s found her one and only soulmate.

Oh, what love she gets to hold.
For it’s a fitting mold of divine.
