Biography
- a free spirit at heart
- came in contact with a Nature Primal who cursed her, vines and weeds sprout from her back and wings
- because of the vines growing from within her, she cannot fly
- this has not stopped her from exploring as much of the world as she can
- regularly visits Opportunity's workshop to give him news of primal curse stories from her travels
- historians would call her "Maas' best friend"
Quote:
Eydis’ home clan is filled with travelers and adventurers, the restless, the free spirits, the explorers as much as the artistic creatives. So when she spies the viney-winged Lothair, she thinks immediately of the extended family she guards and recognizes the pearlcatcher as their kindred spirit - one with a curse. One who persists despite her curse.
Eydis greets her in kind, as a kindred spirit to the Delari Sylvae.
Where she cannot erase what was done, much like the tale of the sleeping beauty, she can work with the magic, influencing it toward more positive outcomes. In so doing, she’s discovered Lothair already tackled some of that work on her own. Clearly the pearlcatcher’s recognition of the beauty in a slow journey on the ground has already muffled some of this curse’s power.
Still, even the most persistent among us need a helping hand and so the butterfly is there, working directly with what remains of the curse, helping Lothair transmute the intended burden into something lighter, day by day. Maybe by working together, what started as a curse, could even become the fertile ground of some future boon.
Either way, the golden threads of good fortune are lighter than air, weaving a support to help ease the burden of cursed vinework.
Then, like only the best mother does, she makes a little care package full of awesome snacks and a little heart-warming message of affection to start off the next adventure right.
“Hope is possibly the most important weapon against curses. Your hope, as well as your persistence despite struggle is beautiful.”
