Duro has spent pretty much his entire life next to Locu, and is one of the few that the sour wildclaw would call a friend. Even when he was a hatchling, Duro was a formidable adversary on the battlefield, something that an ambitious mirror saw as useful in a right-hand-ridgeback. It was more than that, however, as Duro is made of much more than the strength he was named after. He is kind and caring to the ones he cares about, and is much more level-headed than Locu, keeping the two of them out of many pointless battles.

Very few look at this blood-soaked plague-eyed ridgeback and have "gentle" be the first thought that comes to their mind, but his mate, Cuerva, sees Duro as a loving father to both his biological children, and their children of the Caravan. He loves them with every fibre of his being, and will protect them at any cost.
