Biography
AKANTHA
| All tacked up in armor and with piercing red eyes, Akantha is often percieved as a bringer of evil or harm. Despite her fighting solely for good of the innocent, most are frightened at the mere sight of her. By now, Akantha is since long used to the glares and whispers, but deep down, they hurt, like a dagger slowly piercing her. All she ever wished for, what she lost at a young age and what she had barely tasted since then, is for someone to smile at her arrival and utter words of cherish. |
When in public, Akantha is very, very, timid. She's afraid to accidentally make a scene and really just wants to remain unseen in places with lots of creatures around. This behavior originates from the loss of her family as she moved out. They are still alive, but far, far away. As a result of moving to another clan and flight, Akantha never really had the childhood she would have needed. With no parental figure to show her the ways of the world, she figured out most stuff on her own and, as a result, never really had any social interaction.

- Akantha has a strange love for all foods spicy, but must have a sweet afterwards. Otherwise, she becomes a grouch. Due to the mistrust sent her way, she knows how to forage both spicy and sweet herbs to suite her peculiar tastes. - Despite her lack of a social-life, she has a collection of novels where she takes note of how protagonists act to learn how to socialize. She often practices on familiars, speaking to them and holding a one-sided conversation. - This is more related to the creatures around her, but they tend to view Akantha as their child. If they can fly, they swarm those who attempt to follow akantha, and if they crawl, they bite their ankles until any and all hostile dragons are far away from their "ward." - Akantha has a knack for metals. She can fairly easily distinguish the malleable from the flimsy, making her a key part of forgery if she ever chose to follow this route. This is mainly because she's spent hours reading and rereading tomes of forgery and all of the metals of sorenith. - She often stops by libraries that are out of the way, cruising by to attempt to find some books. Often times, she is kicked out for her reputation of being terrifying, but a select few will allow her to settle in and read a nice new novel. Even fewer lend her, or even gift her, some of their worn books. - The reason she has so many steampunk gadgets is because whilst on her journey away from home, a kind engineer picked her up and chose to take her on as an apprentice briefly. When she claimed she had to leave, the engineer gifted her all of the gadgets she wears proudly, continuing to regularly polish and wax them to this day. (Credit to: @DEADGODS) |
