Guihuo is the guide of spirits who still linger in the physical realm. Most of them have unfulfilled wishes or something they cling to, and she is the one responsible to lead them onwards to the next realm. A menacing figure on most battlefields, most spirits are wary of her, and will very quickly realize she is not one to be crossed. Guihuo does not speak, instead preferring to use her frigid, eerie silence to discipline wayward spirits. She will occasionally accept bribes in the form of jewelry, allowing the bribers to temporarily gain an almost-corporeal body so that they may take care of any remaining business they have.

Her past is shrouded in mystery, as though legends and myths run rampant, they are merely hearsay and nothing more. The storytellers that dare to speak of her spin tales of a beautiful maiden cursed by a lover she once scorned and so was unable to enter the cycle of reincarnation forevermore, or perhaps someone who was always waiting for a loved one to return from the battlefield. She is neither, but instead something more, something intangible and indescribable and something those of both realms cannot comprehend. A spirit guide, really, is the closest one can come to describe her with words. Curiously enough, Guihuo is extremely patient, an effect of the centuries she has spent lingering in spaces where time does not have a hold.
