Biography

once, early on in the clan’s history when it was just Kerrigan and Poinsettie and Geode, there was a really bad storm, and a bolt of lightning hit not far from the Lair. they went out to investigate, to make sure it hadnt started a fire, and instead found a tiny hatchling, still lightly sparking and somehow pristinely white despite his deeply charred surroundings. They brought him home, with Kerrigan’s word that, despite his rather extraordinary origins, it seemed to be a mostly normal hatchling, and soon discovered that Kerrigan had been exactly right; Aube was, indeed, a *mostly* normal hatchling. He learned and matured just like a regular dragon in all respects, *except* his physical form. Somehow, no matter how much time passed, his body was suspended in the state he had first touched down in. Many years have passed since that first memorable meeting, and Aube is now Kerrigan’s assistant after having largely been raised by her, with help from Poinsettie and Geode. He lacks her knack for nature magic and druidry, whether due to his odd origins or for more ordinary reasons, but he *has* been showing a surprising aptitude for more celestial magics recently, so perhaps his future lies not below the earth with his surrogate mother, but high above it instead.
