Oy2prul.png There exist tales of a necromancer who sold away his heart for power. Who lost everything trying to gain something. There exist tales of a poor soul, undergoing his Clan's rite of courage and becoming a piece of a monster that his Clan had long ago destroyed. These stories are both true and connected for the creature you see before you is the very beast the stories spoke of.
A beast with no heart. They lost sight of their humanity long ago when the Shade took their body. They were immortal, or so they thought. When a few ancient Light Clans banded together and took them down, they thought they could finally rest, but the Shade in them hungered, not quite vanquished from their still body. Their tomb became a place of a ritual, one to test the bravery of the new rulers of the new Clans that had once opposed them. Generations passed, with no incident, the Shade lurking within the corpse waiting, keeping their body from decay.
It was when an heir that happened to be an Imperial entered that the Shade struck. It did away with the Imperial quickly and as happens when there is close proximity between dead Imperials, an Emperor formed. And the Shade within was starving.
The beast, which no longer remembered any name, escaped their tomb and rampaged across the lands until a powerful mage banished them and the world knew peace. Until a young sorcerer named Zen came along, that is.
The Emperor thought they had the upper hand after their reemergence but Zen was much too clever. The Shade inside her ran strong, even stronger than their own after centuries of starving and wasting away. Zen overpowered the Shade keeping them together and bound them to her will. They were displeased until she promised that they would feed. Once she got her way, they'd never know starvation again.
Zen bestowed upon the name Pylos and she kept her word. They hungered, they knew they always would. But, she was right, never again did they starve. She simply had too many "volunteers" for that.

Signature Spell

"Decimation And Reincarnation!"

It's not clear what the signature spells of Pylos' heads individually were, but since they now have Shade instead of magic, whatever it was definitely isn't what it is now. Essentially, Pylos' signature spell works as thus; they can be infinitely damaged, destroyed, and killed, but as long as some piece of them remains, even if that piece is say in another person since they rendered them shade-touched or even their own shade-touched progeny, they can reform. It's rare that they have to completely reform though, since even with this ability in mind, Pylos has a very strong sense of self-preservation. However, each time they have had to completely reform, their body has become much more cohesive.
Zen is their main source of reformation.

Notes
  • Admaer is the right head and makes up most of the body. Admaer was a infamous shade-touched necromancer until he was defeated. Admaer is more dominant, retaining little of his old, snarky personality and being more of a husk for the shade within to manipulate, but occasionally his old personality breaks through.
  • Erzeiros is the left head and is kind of just sticking out of Admaer's body at certain places rather than combing more smoothly. Erzeiros was the heir to one of the ancient light clans that defeated Admaer. During a rite of courage, Admaer reanimated, attacked Erzeiros and became an emperor with him. Erzeiros often has little control over the body, instead being a puppet like Admaer for the shade to control. He does not want to hurt and attack others but the domineering shade and the endless, ravenous hunger leaves him little choice.
