Biography
In hindsight, he probably should have taken the Prince up on his offer. Surely being some sort of royal pet, paraded around at meetings and war councils in nothing but silks and heavy jewelry would be infinitely better than this. Surely, anything would be better than dying here- cold, alone, and a coward.
But, well, Enlun no longer had the luxury of options. And, if his body has any say in things, he no longer has the luxury of keeping his blood inside, either. Quite a shame really, that he's ruining such beautiful armor and drapes with his disgusting, good for nothing peasant blood. He's sure Anaideia, no- he's sure the Prince would agree. The spineless worm didn't deserve to be given a name- to be humanized in such a way, not after what he'd done to Enlun. To Seraphim.
Sure, he'd been soft on the Prince once. But that was back when he was kinder, when he hadn't let his ambition take him by the reins and control his every waking decision. That was back when he'd only been a prince by title- when he'd hardly mattered to anyone except him and Seraphim.
Enlun wished more than anything that he'd been able to save Seraphim before he got too close to the Prince. Hoped beyond anything that someone better would come along and whisk him away. After all, he hadn't been able to. Hell, he'd barely escaped the Prince himself. If there was anything that sorry excuse for a royal was good at it was manipulation. He and Seraphim had both fallen for it. For a time, before he knew better, he would've said they were in love- the three of them. But that was so far away now that it didn't matter anymore at all.
Huh. Bleeding out must really be getting to him if he was crying. Enlun never cried. Not even when the Prince had slashed his heart to pieces and set the remains on fire with his words. Not even when he'd been forbidden from seeing the only other being alive that cared for him. No- that loved him.
He'd never forgive the Prince for taking that away from him. For taking Seraphim away from him. Not even to his dying breath.
