Husband of the clan's matriarch, Pazithi, Tanzen is second in command. He doesn't emote very much, which many find to be intimidating; he has a strategic mind and prefers thinking to speaking, which doesn't help matters, since he tends to sit in impassive silence when others begin to nervously ramble. Really, he's just waiting patiently for them to be done, no judgment from him if anyone is stuttering, they can take as much time as they need...

Tanzen manages the guard, training new recruits and keeping the clan safe. He takes this seriously; anything less than a hundred percent effort means that they're open to threats, and that is something he won't stand for. Sky and Colton are his lieutenants, in charge when duty requires him to be elsewhere, and Sol is third after them.

For all his stoicism, he feels deeply. He loves his wife and their children (though many of them have left the clan to become monks in the service of the Lightweaver, the highest of honors) and often smiles without realizing it when his thoughts turn to them.
