Masif__ Mutis praenuntius.
xxx ____Masif, an ever-constant presence lurking in the shadows. He is a silent, unwavering assassin, wordless and cold and ruthlessly effecient. Those searching for an unhonorable way to eliminate their enemies may find themselves in his company, apparently drawn by the smell of coin-- and murderous intent. His prices are steep, but results are quick, and there's never a hint of a pale dragon anywhere near the victim.

____The blades at his side are but decoration, for this killer employs a far more horrifying method-- the puppeteered souls of those not yet dead. This dragon is a mage of the forbidden variety, drawing upon and corrupting the magic used by earth dragons to corral the long-dead spirits of ages past. Used only in ceremonial killings, his knives are imbued with the ability to preserve the life of those that are cut by them, binding the soul to the body even if the heart stops beating. His particular brand of evil involves removing a dragon's head, but keeping the rest of the body alive as he performs his mad rituals. His victims are turned to despondent, vengeful puppets, draining that which was good and pure about an individual and leaving only their pain and anger in their not-corpse. The body is then left to reanimate, headless, following his orders as they have little else to do.
____The love and heart of the victim, however, remains with the head, even as it decays; he keeps one with him at all times as a mouthpiece, for he cannot speak on his own.

____He is not fully heartless, as he does not subject any unfortunate dragon to such a fate-- only those who have wronged him, or those who seek him out to request assassinations on those who only mean well to those around them. Souls are not tormented this way for long, and are released once he finds another puppet.



____It is strange, but... his helmet bobs almost as if there is no head underneath to keep it aloft.
