Marseilles is known for his cunning and quick anger, but that’s only the gossip. Those who know him say his moods can be terrible, but he never holds a grudge. He has no concept of hard currency—do not clink a bag of coins in front of him, he’s not interested—but barters magnificently when it’s simple goods and services. He has an eye for beautiful rugs and has collected a few of them, hanging them on his walls when his home floors are fully covered. He herds sheep and goats and sells wool as his trade. Yearly he makes a wide trip to the closest city, where he buys more books and unique dyes he can’t make at home. He sometimes sells his un-dyed and dyed wool in the city, but never that much; his friends and neighbors usually buy up his stock. In the city, he also meets up with Yellowmaw if she hasn’t visited him recently.
