Biography
“I am a doctor of origami,” Ragwyrm proclaimed regally, enthroned by tomes upon which a large assembly of silent origami figures had been arranged. “I smooth out imperfections. I instate symmetry. I, dear Lady, am a bloody fine catch.” The roguish smile he flashed at Lady Mugwort drew the most feminine of snorts from the worthy missus.
“Are you truly? Can you cure one of damp?”
Ragwyrm sighed regretfully, “Alas, I can. But the cure is as bad as the condition, if not worse. Therefore I allow the patient to choose whether they prefer melting into a papery mash, or burning outright. Most prefer the fire, for at least then they are not malformed. And they feel nothing, I assure you. Their peripheral nervous system is nought, and their central nervous system is so very limited that I’d go so far as to say it does not exist at all.”
“I should hope not,” said the lady.
