“Mama where are we going?”
asked a small female skydancer with bright orange wings

“We are going to put you in the auction house”

“Why? I haven't done anything bad right!”

“Calm down. And no you have been a good skydancer. But we planned to give away our second hatchling.”

“Oh ok. I will be a good dragon for my new family! But will I ever see you again?”

“You might. Here get in this room. It will be your cave until you find a home. If you don't get taken you may be helping Stormcatcher.”

“Ok bye mommy! I love you I won't forget about you I promise!”

"Goodbye, my baby see you soon!"

The skydancer fell asleep thinking of her new family. When the skydancer woke up she was confused about where she was she wasn't where her mother had left her and was instead in a small cave sitting on the softest bed she has ever touched after a bit she had left the room and accidentally walked into a kitchen.

“Oh you're awake good morning would you like some grubbs for breakfast?” a female fae asked with a warm smile

“Uhh sure?”

“Ok good come sit here” she said to the skydancer. As the sky dancer sat down and ate breakfast the fae smiled. “So when I adopted you they said you have no name so I think I should name you myself. I am Shadow mayor of Delphinia City by the way and I would like to know how you feel about having the name Cinder.”

“So if your my new mom does that mean I can call you mama or mommy? I also love the name it's amazing Cinder. I am Cinder the mayor's child!

Shadow gave out a small chuckle “You can call me anything Cinder and I am glad you like the name. After you are done eating I will show you the city ok?”

“Ok mama”
