Shadedrift

Rift is the Representative of Shadow, and.. it’s not known what he might have looked like before he became so, because this is how he’s always been. He uses any pronouns except It/Its/Itself, as those have been used negatively against him.

((Author’s Note: i will alternate between pronouns for this description, but the pronouns i use here will only be changed every paragraph or two, as it confuses me more to alternate within one singular paragraph, but i do alternate fairly often with my ocs that use multiple sets of pronouns.))

She was created within the Tangled wood, by those who wished to create something that could rival the power of Shadowbinder herself. But that was not what happened. She emerged from the pool of corrupted shadow in which she’d been created, made of strange purple goop, almost like tar.

They tried to control her. And they failed. In fact, controlling her caused them more trouble in the long run. Expecting her to obey cost them too much time, and too much effort to try and make her do so.

In the end, they’d had enough. They rebelled heavily, and managed to escape, taking down many of their ‘creators’ in the process, escaping to the gardens lay beyond the border of Shadow, instead within Nature’s, travelling through there and sheltering within the Pox Consulate, not caring what they found there, or what found them. And there was where he found Vatrel and Spruce.

He dwells within the lair that the rest of the 10 current representatives, enjoying the relative peace that comes with Nature Flight, and the respect of his own boundaries that his newfound clan has given him, and giving sheer hell to anyone who would hurt them.
