Madrigal

A hooked claw tugs down the front brim of the wizard's hat and Madrigal chuckles lowly. His eyes are bright with mirth and a smile crackles along his face playfully. "Now really, tell me why I should submit to you." He chuckles. "A group of bandits that don't know who I am."

The bandits cross their arms, looking among one another. None of them have a good reason. It just feels so odd to them to have to tell the strange wizard a reason.

Madrigal chuckles lowly. "Now come on. Where's a good reason?"

"Hrm. 'Cause we can take a withered fool like you."

"Oh?"

"You're a withered old fool! We can take yo--WHAT THE?!"

Madrigal sighs lightly. "And yet the whole time we were standing here, you didn't notice the vines coming up around your legs. Funny how that is, huh?"

That's the story he tells to the Hatchlings before he hears Jakkara and Perliel snapping at each other in the distance. He chuckles to the hatchlings. "Ah, do not worry. Grandma Jackles and Grandma Pearl will calm down in a moment.

He is a gentle soul by his nature, loving to nurture the hatchlings, and occasionally tend to the familiars, though he allows Sammy to do the main job of Familiar Tending.
