Biography

Veldt was adopted from a clan of Nature dragons who felt that she would prosper better in the care of another clan. Two words often used to describe her are "swift" and "wild." She is the fastest dragon in the Hydrus Clan and likes to show others exactly how fast she can run. Although she is a Nature dragon, she showed potential as an oracle from an early age, which is why the Hydrus Clan took an interest in her and welcomed her into the group. She is talented in the area, but she prefers to run than to divine. This is because Veldt feels a powerful connection with nature and it is also the reason why she has abilities as an oracle.

Veldt was always somewhat distant, even in her birth clan. She never integrated into it properly and it led them to decide that perhaps this wasn't the right place for her. Even if relations between flights are shaky, meetings between clans go peacefully, as the objective is to always do what's best for all to benefit. Just because a dragon is born to one clan and one flight does not always mean that is the best fit for them. The transfer of dragons between clans and flights allows them to build relationships with each other. When Veldt was told she was to join the Hydrus Clan and become part of the Water flight, she had no strong feelings either way. As long as she could run, she would be fine.

Although she is unmistakably a part of the Hydrus Clan, Veldt spends more time away from it rather than in it. This is fine with the clan, for it's within her element that her powers are the strongest. It also allows her to act as a scout who can patrol the territory and report her findings. It shows the amount of trust they place in Veldt who is temperamental and elusive, but also incredibly loyal. Although she still needs to adjust to living in the Water flight with the Hydrus Clan, a sense of duty and responsibility binds her to it, and if nothing else, her clanmates know that they can depend on her.

Veldt sees visions when she runs through the woodlands of the Hydrus Clan's territory. The faster she goes, the clearer they get. When this happens, she becomes guided by a sixth sense that allows her to avoid obstacles and keep her footing even at top speed.
