Fychan

Fychan bears a heart that gleams as brightly as new-fallen snow. Kind eyes match the gentle purple sheen of her wings, but sparkle with a distant hint of mischief. She is a Shadow creature, too, of course.

Her scales are cold, and hold no hint of warmth beneath them. It is strange, and a little disconcerting at first. Though she looks much the part, she can't ever be fully called dragon - she's an undefined and more lively spirit, one born from the crisp cool air of winter and the joy of children running through snow at the dawn of a new year. A strange and wonderful, joyous creature, who knows not of grief.

Though some find her freakish and too strange, others don't, and she's unbothered by others' disgust anyway. She embodies a simple joy that has no room for those who don't accept her as she is.

The swirls of smoke along her wings match the breath that appears in the frosty winter air as she laughs. Her voice is as clear and lovely as a bell's chime as she holds her chilly talons out to hatchlings who take them and squeal with glee. They will always accept her, even when older dragons forget winter's magic. They will always see her smile first and her strangeness later.

They will always love Fychan, the spirit of the first snow.
