Biography

Samson was left behind repeatedly by his flock, as he was born lame. A skydancer who can't fly is just a corpse walking, waiting to die. Somehow, he survived, even as his wing rotted away, and flesh falling from his maw. No one knows what magic he found that could sustain him, that allowed him to steal the lives away from others, and well, no one dares asks, lest their flesh rots away and their eyes fall from their sockets.
Opheodrys Serthis are usually not venomous. In fact, they're known for having the weakest venom of all serthis. This, however, is not true for Phillup, Samson's companion. They say he revived it, dragged it screeching and wild from the afterlife. For its scales are cold and its bite deadly, and no breath needed by the beast. It is simply there.
