Biography
A rakish pirate--crewman-for-hire, actually, they just tend to take unsavory jobs, and like the glamor of 'pirate'--Bellflower loves adventure, and spent their youth hopping from ship to ship, clambering up masts and getting into scraps over anything from cards to robbery. They love living at sea, especially while on the run, the wind in their mane, and traded the promise of a long life for the promise of an exciting one.
When a ship they worked on was overtaken by a fearsome, unnatural storm, the water churning with the scales and spines of some massive sea monster, Bellflower was ready to meet death, though not without a good fight. They scrambled to help their crewmates flee to the skies or on lifeboats, but soon found themself sinking and waterlogged, trapped beneath a section of the hull, with no one remaining to save them as they sank.
The beast in the water caught them in her claws, and gently placed a crown of seapetals on their head, granting them the ability to breathe beneath the waves. Bellflower and Sealure have been together since; Bell had always liked strong women, and Sealure was . . . certainly that, a massive, stormbringing sea monster.
They agreed to stick together, sometimes as mates, sometimes just partners in crime, a sea monster and a pirate, and made the Choppy Waters their kingdom.
