Biography

Darkness. That was all that kept Tithonnas company in the Shadowbringer’s domain.
Where brilliant topaz scales had once covered their serpentine form lay grey flesh flecked with rot. Their mane had become long and tangled, and now dragged alongthe sunken earth as they wandered the Tangle.
There were other creatures that slithered through the dark, but none dared to approach the dragon. Perhaps it was the way organic matter rotted where it brushed against their claws, or the seething rage that burned in their many eyes. Those eyes were as bright as they had been all those centuries ago, though their gaze focused on nothing in the darkness. Despite the brilliance of their hue, to any observer, they would have called to mind only pus and disease.
The eyes that run along the length of their body blink. The dragon pauses.
There hadn’t always been that many, had they? Once, they had been beautiful. They had sculpted living beings from clay and earth. They had crumbled the old to make way for the new, delivering the frail and broken into Siwang’s talons. That was before they felt the touch of death themself. Before they had been shattered, fragmented into this sliver of their former self.
The name of the one who had trapped them in the Shadowbinder’s domain reverberated through their mind.
Sardior.
Sardior.
Sardior.
The echo was almost maddening. They could see the Ruby dragon’s brilliant red scales, shimmering and pulsing with life. They could practically hear the rumble of Sardior’s voice, always touched with that edge of mischief. It had seemed good-natured at the time- warm, even.
He’d made fools of them all.
They hiss and shake their head violently, casting the vision of their former lord from their mind.
He had done this to them. They bare their fangs at the darkness- fangs that looked long with how far their gums had receded.
After centuries spent in a sunken domain devoid of flame and light, they were nothing if not patient.
They would be whole again, and they would have their revenge.
