Gourami

They call her the Princess of Thieves. Some say her parents were involved in a gang of robbers, others say her mother was a crime boss and ran said gang of robbers with an iron grip. Gourami is happy to sustain those tales, and will entertain the truth of things with a playful lightheartedness that is quite disarming. If, perhaps, a person visiting the circus (and in particular the fortune telling booth where the Princess typically holds court) has a few less coins than they did upon entering, it just goes to show one can never be too careful with one’s possessions.

Gourami takes after her father in two ways; the obvious being that she is a guardian as he was, of course. The other way in which the family resemblance makes itself known is not so plainly seen. Gourami has a hefty dose of the necromantic magic that made her father so formidable in his day. She follows in her father’s footsteps in a third way, in that she is exceedingly reluctant to draw upon said magic directly or even acknowledge its existence. Rather, she uses the learned skills of cold reading and sleight of claw to wow and misdirect her audience, herding them to appreciation. Her magic lies coiled within her, sleeping and waiting for the Princess to claim her true birthright.
