Sharp, adventurous, and bold, Fasidian sees himself as competing with Hawke to be Bastion's successor. He prefers action to words and a better-safe-than-sorry approach to threats(and most other things). He's resentful of the way the clan was torn apart and harbors a deep resentment for those who attacked them.

During the attack on their clan Fasidian was hurt during his escape, resulting in a scar over his eye and damage to his head-jewel and, by extension, his ability to sense emotions like other skydancers. This has left him a bit callous and untrusting, though at heart he truly wants nothing more than to be responsible and for his clan to be safe. His ambition has put him in a bit of an awkward position with Hawke, however, as they often have polarized disagreements on the correct approach to solving problems, and Fasidian's strong adherence to tradition and wariness of change contrasts his adoptive brother's more open-minded and forgiving nature.
