Seagull

Seagull, originally a seafaring nomad, ended up entangled in Clanless drama due simply to being in the wrong place at the wrong time. They were recruited by Soleil under the pretense of treating their injuries, only to find when they attempted to leave that Soleil had ordered their ship destroyed. Resentful but lacking any other options, Seagull did their best to settle in with the Clanless but never really quite managed it.

When Seawinds came to the Clanless as a wanderer, the two hit it off almost instantly. Seawinds had never travelled the ocean, but her mother apparently had, and had relayed to her many stories of daring adventures. Seagull traded their own stories with her, quickly forming a bond that became hesitantly romantic despite the Clanless not exactly being the place for love to bloom. When CarmineBlade arrived and unceremoniously dethroned Soleil, Seagull was shocked to be apologized to on behalf of Soleil for the destruction of their ship. CarmineBlade could not do anything to help, but even that small bit of sympathy from a dragon who knew what it was like to lose everything was deeply moving. Seagull actually asked CarmineBlade if they could depart, and was as such the first dragon to learn of CarmineBlade's plan for the future: conquest. They gave Seagull the option to leave with supplies and their mate, and the Skydancer barely hesitated before accepting.
