Duckweed is the adopted daughter of Beetle and Frog. She's learning the art of healing from Frog...and also assassination. Her adopted mother is very adept at poisons and often uses them in her night work. While Duckweed doesn't mind Frog's nightly profession, she's much more interested in healing than in poisoning. Regardless, Duckweed likes to know things and therefore she listens patiently while Frog explains various toxic and poisonous plants and animals.
35703.png Because Duckweed is a perma-hatchling, she was assigned a guardian by the deity who rules the land (in this case, the Flamecaller). Hers is the Glittering Jeweler, whom Duckweed calls Tarnish. Tarnish is a friendly, out-going familiar who loves to find shiny things for Duckweed's hoard. At least, Tarnish claims that they're for Duckweed's hoard. Duckweed suspects otherwise.
