KETSUEKI

The leader of the Doomsday Scientists and one of Yuki's own heirs, Ketsueki forcefully split herself into an Aberration dragon after beginning to see herself as two different beings. In an attempt to split these personalities, she tried to slice both of her heads into two separate bodies, only to severely wound herself in the process. With the help of one of Arcturus's enchantments, the wound was crystallised, but not closed, allowing Ketsueki to live. Being a Doomsday Scientist appointed directly via her mother, the clan leader, she prides herself on her chemistry and scientific knowledge, and wishes to someday perfect the weapon her mother desires so much.

Ketsueki was born one dark winter to Yuki and Eniguma, in admist the plague clan and not the Ice clan where everything started like her older siblings. As a child, Ketsueki had always been seen as the black sheep, always into the downfall of things, preying on the weakness of other souls, attacking those she saw as 'vulnerable'. She got along strangely well with Numachi due to this, but her weakening mental state soon saw an end to this uneasy alliance.

She began to see herself as two beings trapped in one body, and due to this, began to snap at others and become infuriated when others didn't refer to her by 'the right name'. Upon learning of the Aberration species and the fact that they had breed changes in the clan's vault, she snuck past Jikan and transformed herself, desperate to finally separate her two identities.

Once transformation was complete, she snuck back to her den and grabbed a knife, attempting to sever her two heads, wounding herself severely in the process. Being found by Yuki herself, she was horrified at what her baby had become, and ordered the help of Arcturus, a skilled spellcaster within the clan's rankings. With a single spell, her wounds were crystallised, but not fully closed, allowing her to live a little longer, though still on one body.

After this incident, Ketsueki was soon appointed as a Doomsday Scientist for the clan's new upcoming secret project: Project Daybreak, a secret weapon which could protect the clan from anything, even itself, and Ketsueki is now determined to see this project through to perfection, even if it means staying away from her newfound family and lover, Mania.

Ketsueki is cold, blunt and eerie. She loves the idea of battle, the exhilarating action of war, and preys on the downfall of other clans and dragons. She sees her two heads as separate beings and wishes to split herself into two someday, even after her failed attempt shortly after she transformed herself. She likes to pick fights, but also holds a strong bout of passion for the project she was assigned to work on, priding herself on her scientific knowledge and skill. She sees herself above others and will not hesitate to flaunt this, finding it hard to keep her thoughts to herself at times.

While both heads act relatively the same, they dislike to be seen as just one. Use the name 'Ketsueki' only if one is referring to both heads at once, otherwise, use their separate names. The head on the left is referred to as 'Danika', whilst the head on the right is named 'Feronia'.
