One of two brothers who share each a fractured piece of a title that once held significant meaning for the Viridian Labyrinth, The Day King. The Day King had been a powerful practitioner within the Labyrinth, able to will plants from the ground with a very thought, able to spread growth over the most unsuitable terrain, turning barren grounds fertile. The Day King was revered for many long years until the time came to pass the title to a younger dragon. Two young brothers had been chosen as the Day King's heirs, both equally promising in capabilities and temperament, yet when their predecessor was finally laid to rest both were still locked in a fierce, ongoing competition and no victor ever emerged. Instead when the Day King passed the title broke, leaving the two brothers with the only titles they would ever bear, the Sun Crowned and the Moon Crowned, fractured pieces of a greater whole.

Over the years both brothers accepted this fate they wrought upon themselves and have since each decided to no longer fight their reality, for nothing will change the fact that they neither hold the power required of a Day King. They now work together in his stead, filling a space as two where once only one stood so that the Day Kings power will live on and continue to benefit the Viridian Labyrinth. Together they can create the same wonders and miracles that the Day King before them had preformed though it takes much more effort and concentration.

The Moon Crowned had been a title a younger Wayward once scorned and ran from. With his brother Gilden in the spotlight and adored by all for being the Sun Crowned, 'Moon Crowned' had only ever meant inferiority to Wayward, a signal that he would never achieve the title Day King. As a younger dragon he had rebelled against this fate, choosing instead to fight his brother for the title and prove that he himself could rule as Day King. It wasn't until many years later, after the Day King had passed and with him the title and power, that Wayward realized he had truly only ever been fighting himself for all those years. Wayward has since accepted that he will only hold exactly half of the powers of a Day King, no more, no less. Only by working with his brother will they each achieve any greater, and Wayward has come to treasure his brothers company far more than an ancient power he never once held.
