Antares is a light-aligned subdeity, particularly well known for being the patron of astronomers and explorers. While not born of celestial blood nor created by the gods, Antares lived his first life as part of the mortal Sornieth plane.

In his mortal life, he was beyond fascinated by the prospect of discovery– particularly pertaining to worlds far beyond his wildest imagination. After devoting his life to perusing knowledge of the unknown, he was ultimately blessed postmortem by both the Lightweaver and the Arcanist. Ascending into divinity, his celestial duty was decreed: Antares was, is, and forever will be tasked to survey the vastness of space across all realities.

Though his task is certainly daunting, there is no other mission Antares would rather devote his existence to accomplishing. Though he may be flighty and erratic, a personality commonly found with spirals, his genius in the cosmic arts is unparalleled. Many dragons outside of the celestial realms revere him as a patron and call to him for guidance in their studies. Once Antares devotes himself to a task or challenge, there is no possibility he will return unsuccessful.

With towering bookshelves filled with his journals and gilded astrolabes circling around the room, the spiral flitters and swirls enthusiastically around his observatory. He mumbles about as he twists and turns at a breakneck speed, ever eager to discover something on the great horizons.

Antares resides in an ancient observatory, located within the confines of the celestial clan. Many dragons frequent the observatory to ask Antares various questions or seek his counsel; though, Antares is rarely seen outside of his observatory.

Antares is the seventeenth brightest star that can be seen with the naked eye and the brightest star in the constellation Scorpius.
A holy stargazer, Antares has infinite knowledge of all things in relation to the cosmos.
