There are many souls in the AzuleHaven lair. Lots of stories and pasts. Some are more pitiful than others and Leilla’s tends to take the solemn prize. Once a proud and spirited tracker for her home clan, now she’s a shell of her former self and clinically depressed.
It all started in a shop…
She met Alek when she was young and adventurous and he was young and ambitious. Her beauty had him smitten but her knowledge of precious stones had his interest hooked right away. He suggested they combine his talents in the business world (he was just starting out but had a natural charm that made customers come back) and her wisdom with gems and knack for finding them, they could accomplish so much.
Along the way she started to feel the effects of puppy love and then their first daughter came. Unplanned as she was, Leilla was so happy to be a mother and put everything on the back-burner to raise Akela. More children came soon after.
Aleksandir gladly took over the rest of the business while she watched their children grow. Over time she noticed a shift in her husband and how often he wasn't home. Tired and run-down, she often got into fights with him over many things. A particular nasty argument left her heartbroken when he revealed he took her then as a wife for her knowledge and now because she was a mother to his children. Since the business they had was still signed in her name, separation wasn’t something he would consider.
Trapped in a loveless marriage and with her children all but run off, Leilla knows she has a lot of mistakes to fix and no way to do so.
Her one source of happiness is knowing all her babies have better lives than they did before.
