Biography
The Bulwark
the mildest, kindest, most patient dragon ever, Hufflepuff is no less than a demon when angered. They've sort-of accidentally hidden their insane battle skills behind their truly soft personality.
Huff finally left their former Clan when their best friend, Mugs the longneck, was nearly killed. Their clan kept enemy Beastclans around as pets and workers, using them until they dropped. Mugs was captured when a longneck clan wandered too close to dragon territory. Put to work in the kitchens and infirmary, Mugs and Huff began their taboo friendship when they bonded over a shared love of good food during Huff's many infirmary visits. They'd debate merits of thyme over basil in stew and how well which disinfectant worked late into the night, Huff letting Mugs get rest and food in the siblings' room.
Mugs made one mistake, broke a plate, and was beaten nearly to death. Hufflepuff went berserk, with Mugs safe on their back, and left very violently. They took out nearly fifty full-grown, well-trained Guardians, Imperials, and Mirrors with no more than a few scratches.
Since arriving at the Sanctuary bloody and exhausted, Huff and Mugs have recuperated and started settling in. Mugs is surprisingly good at longneck healing magics, now that she's had a chance to practice, and is thinking about opening a small apothecary-clinic just outside the Clan for Beastclans.
Huff has spent most of their time shadowing Ruvyn, getting a feel for how the Sanctuary is run and defended. They've also become Bubblegum's permanent teaching assistant. They're a great teacher and enjoy spending most of their day honing their and others' skills. Hufflepuff is glad to finally be in a safe, well-protected place with their whole family happy and thriving.
