Gualtheria is a sort of folk hero in the eyes of those in Snowsqual, capturing, containing and getting rid of the Shade, suspect dragons and unruly creatures and entities. He is a lonewolf and highly prefers to be alone, enjoying the company of a few select others, one of which being Rush whom while he would never admit, is a sort of weird son figure for him. Gual is often very quiet, almost selectively mute, talking only when completely necessary. He is very old and it shows both on his body and how he acts, he is a stereotypical grumpy old man.

Gualtheria like many other Gaolers, prefers to not accept the idea of owning or having hoards or caves for oneself, however where he differs is a small collection of trophies from his past and particular parts that bring back memories for him. Many of which being things like pelts, tusks, skulls and others, keeping them on his back and person, turning them into jewelry, capes, and adornments.
