Biography
Dragon's Charge & The Search wrote:
When a Guardian dragon comes of age, it instinctively seeks out a charge to protect for the rest of its considerable life. Most Guardians do not know what its charge will be until they encounter it, and so it begins a journey. During this time it will wander tirelessly, seeking a worthy individual, object, or place to stand watch over. Once a Guardian discovers its charge, it begins its new life.

“The pedigree of honey
Does not concern the bee; A clover, any time, to him Is aristocracy.” ~Emily Dickinson |
It is always said that, to a Guardian, those worthy of a Charge fit criteria only the Guardian knows. What one may see as worth more than all the treasure in the world, another will see as nothing more than a pile of dirt. To a Guardian, a piece of driftwood could be worth their very life.
To Sanora, it was the flowers. Not a specific flower, not even a specific place. Sanora’s life was centered around flowers, their brightly colored petals and sharpened thorns, their long roots and soft leaves. Everything about a flower was precious to her, in a way that was most difficult to describe. So, as any good Guardian would, Sanora became a protector of the flowers. Though she knew their natural lifespans were short and beautiful, she guarded them carefully. She tended to them, keeping them free of pests and illness. She watered them carefully, ensured they got the sun they required, and simply watched them flourish for the time they had.
Though Sanora does not really speak much at all--she is, essentially, mute--she does have a surprisingly high volume of friends. None of them are dragons persay, but they are friends. With tiny fluttering wings and fuzzy little bodies, Sanora has hundreds of friends in the form of bees. As she guards the plants their lives depend on, Sanora has grown close to the short lived insects, welcoming them onto her scales whenever they need a chance to rest. From an outsider’s perspective, she sometimes seems more bee than dragon. Perhaps it is a good thing, as she enjoys the relative silent life the bees allow her, never requiring she speak to them. She enjoys that peace, and welcomes the hive without fear.
