Biography

It's Time to DUMP some Robot Skydancer stuff

So Basically, a while ago, some mad tinkerer made a robot skydancer, probably just to see if he could, and maybe to eventually rule over the world. However, the tinker's creation was electrically unstable, and the tinkerer electrocuted himself and died.

This creation, however, was alive, and started wandering Sorenith, trying to find out what was their purpose in life, being aware that they had one, but not being sure what it was supposed to be. They really didn't know much, save that they were not like other dragons, and that their name was VoUn (Version Number One) Whilst exploring, the robot managed to become lonely, constantly noticing other dragons being together and seeming happy with each other. Magic energy from the other realms had seeped into the skydancer's parts, and slowly started to corrode their mechanical mind, until it started to be like other dragons.

The machine was built in with a full copy it's construction instructions (haha) built into it. After many years of toil and labour, they had constructed another one, almost identical to them, using scrap materials from the Shifting Expanse. However, the expanse's magic twisted the motherboard of this dragon. The new skydancer, named VoTwo, (Version Number Two), was even more pronounced in their mental aberrations against VoUn. VoTwo had desired to expand, increase their limited kind.

Thus, the two set out and started creating other machines, delicately copying the instruction manifest on each. Two became three, became 5, became 8... very quickly spreading, some even breaking off and forming their own clans.

But they soon ran into a problem. The fight for metal started to become scarce, and poor quality, damaged, or rusted metals were used. Eventually, the robots were falling apart just as quickly as they were being put together. With the original creators missing (or dead), the dragons started to scramble. The few remaining skydancers got together to create a new variant, one that could make sustainable and good metal. They came up with a new model: Fire morph.

Enter the Fire variant. Made from the strongest tungsten the few could find, forged from the depths, the first Fire morph was created, able to refine and process metals for use. The fire morph helped the stability of new robotic skydancers. They are made out of heavy metals, able to withstand heat, and create liquid metals within their bellies.

After the creation of the Fire Variant, the robots started living longer lives, but were confined to the Shifting Expanses. While the original VoUn and VoTwo were created with power sources that could absorb magical energy from the land and sustain them indefinitely, latter models were made without such sources, rather, relying on their own battery power, of which they obtained from sources akin to the Lightning Farm. Seeking to explore further into Sorenith, robots started to gather and innovate, building both more intelligent and energy-harnessing dragons. The results winded up into two new variants: Power morph and Explore Morph.
