Howlback

This imperial tries hard to live up to the name. Everything about Howlback--the way she moves, the way she speaks, those she speaks to, the things she professes to like or dislike--all bespeak a certain class and elegance far above those around her. She is not simply 'an imperial', she is imperial, a regal and queenly presence untouched by the savage day-to-day scrabble of Plague life. It distances her from the rest of the clan, and this is deliberate.

Though Howlback serves Delphi's Rulings and Ethics council, not many members of the clan could tell you in what capacity. Those who could often seem satisfied to say that if you don't know, you haven't done anything wrong. Officially, her title is 'internal security', charged with maintaining order among the higher ranked members of the clan and the clan's enforcement itself. But the plain blunt truth of it is that her elegant demeanor covers an ice-cold heart, and she is little more than Tomaandi's personal thug and assassin.
