Neon

Although he looks like a Lightning dragon, Neon did in fact grow up in Wind flight. As a hatchling, he loved putting his claws (and often teeth) on any shiny piece of machinery, and was eager to apprentice in a tinkerer's workshop when he was old enough. Neon has helped build and repair the complex kites of the Cloudsong, and made numerous flying animatronics that delighted hatchlings and older dragons alike.

However, Neon's true passion was to create things that could be enjoyed both day and night. So with a little wiring and a lot of shocks and pops, Neon began to tinker with his namesakes: Neon signs in the Cloudsong. It's just a little corner of one city, in one little corner of Sornieth, but nothing makes Neon happier than welcoming visitors into his glowing alleyway. There, he sails lit-up kites through the night sky, and he watches the wonder on hatchlings faces as paper birds and gryphons go sailing overhead, lined like the brightest constellations with fiber-optic cables and tiny, twinkling lights.

Neon is always excited to be around hatchlings, hoping to put a smile on their faces or a twinkle in their eye with his toys and tinkering. Quite often, if a young dragon is especially taken by his wonders, he'll part with a kite as a gift. Nothing is too much to give for a child's happiness.
