All was silent as she moved deeper into the caves with only the light of her torch to keep the darkness of the icy caves at bay. She was investigating reports of noises coming from deep within and strange marks on the walls near the entrance. People had always told her to stay out of the caves for fear of getting lost but they weren't there to tell her 'No' this time.
She had come to these caves as a youngling with her parents. They would tell her wondrous stories of creatures that lived deep within that some say are made of pure light, creations of Lux himself. She was told these creatures lived deep within the caves, deeper than anyone had dared to venture.

Deeper and Deeper

The cave wound down deeper and deeper. Icicles loomed above her as she ventured deeper into the unknown. The stone walls were encased in a thick layer of clear ice, revealing the glimmering gems that lay embedded within.
The sound of her claws scraping the ice-covered floor was accompanied by the sound of water dripping from icicles, into small puddles on the ground.
She had never feared the caves, as hard as they'd tried, her parents could not scare her into staying away from them.
