Jeraldy had awoken one day in the lair, his surroundings not familiar to him. This,, was not his home. This was not MDCR. He ended up pacing in confusion until another fae flew into the lair. She introduced herself as Amber and had been searching for a home for herself, being given the notice that a new lair was established where Jeraldy had awoken. Needing a friendly face for help in whatever situation this was, Jeraldy allowed Amber to stay in the lair.
It took a long explanation, constantly going back and forth for Amber to realise just what situation Jeraldy was in, and his confusion was justified. He was from a different world. This was quite common in myths and legends, but this was real and happening now. She agreed to help Jeraldy around this world and aid him whenever possible in exchange for her being a part of the lair.
Jeraldy couldn't say no even if he wanted to.
He would need all the help he could get.
