______ In his own words, Unity would say he has an appreciation for the finer things in life- everyone else will most likely call him spoiled. Despite his prevailing pretentiousness, Unity is startlingly elegant and an almost brilliant politician, heading up the council of Zeferati’s finest dragons. He can often be found with his red gold head towards the sky, his eyes towards the kingdom of the Plague Flight. However he came to be here in Shadow, you don’t know. Maybe you can ask Augur again?

B I O G R A P H Y

______ 1- Unity was born into one of the highest and most prominent plague clans there were at the time. For most of his childhood, he enjoyed easy access to just about anything he wanted, living in the shadow of the giant skull that is the Hellwell Undercroft. Unlike his siblings however, he always was a bit too clean, too organized, especially for living in the heart of the Plague Flight. His siblings always teased him about it, even his parents at times.
All was going decently for his family until a powerful and deadly strain escaped the Wyrmwound. It seemed the Plaguebringer wished to create something so powerful it could kill her sibling, the Gladekeeper, but it had escaped and brought suffering to her own hatchlings instead. This was the last of the worries for many of her followers however, trying desperately to crowd to the corners of the festering lands she controlled. Many thought they could survive it, being Plague dragons and naturally more immune than others. Few did.
Unity had one sister that he was incredibly close to, and her name was Discord. As their family died around them, the two of them escaped their festering mansion and tried to find their way across to the Blight Sanctum, but the Wyrmwound was directly in the way. Unity, having studied many maps during his hours in the library, guided her around it as best he could, but Discord was getting weaker. Her tongue began to turn green and she stumbled into the dirt more often. The Wyrmwound was distantly visible on the Horizon, and so was a large silhouette. Unity would blink, but it would still be there.

______ One day, Discord collapsed, breathing heavily and tears running from her eyes. She wouldn’t be able to go on anymore, she told Unity. She was too infected and the strain had run its course in her body. She told Unity to go, run, until he reached the Sanctum. But he refused to leave her, hovering around her and giving her the last of the water he had.
A deep, low, and mournful grumble ran through his bones and he saw the Plaguebringer looking with incredible sadness at Discord. She came closer, bending her snout down to touch his sister’s and Discord began to breathe peacefully again, and her tears dried up.
“I can only help her pass peacefully.” Plaguebringer told Unity, with regret filling every note of her voice. “But I can make you immune,” She said, touching a huge bony wingtip to his own snout. “I will stay with your sister. I have made a terrible mistake.” The Plaguebringer gestured towards the distant border with the lands of the Shadow Flight. “You will find sanctuary with the shadows. Now go.”
Unity was awestruck and all he could do was nod, his feet seeming to move on their own. He began to fly, something he hadn’t done for a long time since his sister was too weak to fly. As he looked back, he saw the earth reclaim his sister’s body, and the Plaguebringer’s head bow lower, as if to mourn her hatchling.
At first his flight was wobbly, but soon he reclaimed his own wings and glided quickly over the rest of the festering land. As he entered the Shadowbringer’s domain, the air immediately felt thicker and cooler as if the sun had a shader between it and the planet. Unity touched down in the murky forests and followed the first well trodden path he found, straight into Katifeia, the capital of Phantom’s kingdom.
