Biography

Eats crystals.

Stardust is the founder and principal of the Arclan Academy. She was the sixth dragon coaxed into the clan, so she's been around for quite a while. Stardust teaches dragons of all ages, shapes, and sizes. Even the dragons older than her come to her for help on the history of Sornieth and dragon anatomy. The warriors know dragon anatomy like the back of their talons because they need to know where to strike, and when, all thanks to Stardust. Her mate, Ashmane, volunteers to be her assistant teacher sometimes. They are very dear to each other, which makes Stardust all giddy n' ****. She's thrilled to pieces that her violently anti-social husband teaches alongside her! Some of Stardust's fellow Plague dragons look down on their relationship, as Ashmane is a Nature dragon, but they have to suck it up and deal with it, as Stardust is a major part of the clan. Personality-wise, Stardust is well-spoken and caring, and she can be a jokester and lift the tension out of a negative conversation. She's straight to the point, and doesn't add unecessary information to her statements. Unlike me. This makes her easy to understand. She's also very inviting and gentle, and does everything in order to make sure that dragons aren't intimidated by her. She doesn't really have to try very hard, though, as her glimmering feathers are very enticing. Stardust looks like a rock, and has a name similar enough to be a rock, so she nerds out about rocks, minerals, and gems alongside Cool and Dragonbite. Dragonbite is a teacher, so him and Stardust see each other quite often, and they are often late to class when discussing new rock formations they'd seen in the past few days.

Stardust is eaten up by the guilt of not being a good enough parent to Meteor, and leading to the exile of her own child, along with the death of her best friend's child. Blitz understands that it wasn't her fault, and she did everything right in terms of being a mother, but sometimes she can't stand the grief. She keeps it in usually, but sometimes she just casually starts sobbing while grading papers and sorting through mail. Honestly, a mood. We love a relatable queen!

Knock. Knock. Knock

Stardust gravitated towards the knocking on the door groggily, slipping on her gloves. She reached towards the handle, unlocked it with a 'click', and opened the door, to reveal Meteor standing at the door, covered in blood. Stardust was immensely shocked by this, and rubbed her eyes to make sure she was seeing things correctly.

"Oh Plaguebringer.. what happened to you, Meteor? Are you okay? Are you hurt? What's--"

Stardust was cut off by Meteor. "Ma, I'm a'ight. It's jus'.. a certain someone might not be."

Stardust's heart dropped. Meteor couldn't have! She SHOULDN'T have, that's for sure. "Tell me everything," Stardust inquired. She was worried about the several dragons she could have killed, and which one she chose. Maybe she went for several of them! The sight of so much blood was making Stardust's stomach turn, despite being a Plague dragon herself.

"My pleasure," Meteor grinned, and began to step into the house. Stardust put her arm out, and cupped her claws around Meteor's lower neck.

"No, you're gonna get blood everywhere. Let's.... wash you off first."

Stardust tapped her claws anxiously on her desk as she waited for Meteor to clean up. Her head was spinning, and so was her stomach, and Stardust thought she was going to vomit, or get a migraine, or both. She started grading papers to distract herself, and as she finished one worksheet, she realized she had graded half of it wrong. Before she could debate what she was going to do about this, Meteor tapped her on the shoulder. "AH," Stardust let out a yelp, and she knocked over her inkwell. She sighed, as a stack of papers was now dotted in ink, and there was a puddle of it on her desk. Meteor chuckled. Stardust turned her attention back to Meteor, and made a proposal. "Okay," Stardust's voice trembled. "Tell me everything while I clean up this mess."

***

Stardust had a migraine from thinking. She didn't sleep all night. She glanced to her right, where Ashmane was sleeping soundly next to her. She watched his chest rise and fall as he breathed, and fell into a trance for a second. Stardust loved Ashmane so much, but then she was snapped back into reality as her head throbbed. She adjusted herself, as she was laying on her wing, and her wing was pummeled with pins and needles as she lifted her weight. Ugh, she hated when her wing went numb. Stardust's head continued throbbing as she thought about Meteor's situation, and what she was going to do with Casanova. Meteor was in her room, uhm, hopefully, sound asleep. Stardust couldnt believe a murderer was in her house, let alone that a murderer lived in her house. A murderer.

A murderer.

The words echoed in Stardust's head, making her ears ring. A murderer. Stardust shouldn't have a murderer living with her family. She couldn't.

So she didn't.

***

"Meteor," Stardust stood tall and strong, despite how lightheaded she was. She felt like she would collapse at any moment. Her throat closed up as she tried to force out a sentence, but she hid the fact that her voice was quivering. "We can't have a murderer in this household. You killed someone. You killed my best friend's son." Stardust tried not to turn to actual dust, and she felt the sleep deprivation catching up with her.

"Ma, what'cha mean?" Meteor squeaked. She seemed genuinely hurt by Stardust's demand. "I thought family wuz supposed'ta love eachother unconditionally."

"I know," Stardust's voice quivered, and she almost shattered. The entirely of her was quivering, too, but she still stood strong. "I will always love you, but I value the safety of our family too. You- you..." Stardust couldn't cough up the words.

Meteor hung her head. "I'm sorry, ma."
